Circle Pricing 2026: What Is Actually an Add-On?

For a Circle budget, start with the community subscription, then account for payment fees and the extras your chosen plan does not include. Email contacts, additional staff, and a branded app answer different pricing questions; the headline subscription alone is not your total.

Which Circle plan should you compare?

The Circle pricing page, checked by static web retrieval on 2 October 2026, lists Professional, Business, Scale, and Circle Plus. Circle presents Professional as the core community offering, Business as adding workflows and APIs, Scale as adding AI agents and higher limits, and Circle Plus as the custom-priced option with branded mobile apps.

If you need workflows or API access, compare Business with the higher plans against your actual usage requirements. If AI agents are essential, include Scale in that comparison. If your own branded mobile app is essential, ask for the Circle Plus scope and quote. A feature appearing in a plan does not establish that every usage level is included.

Scope of the tables below: the base-plan figures cover Professional and Business, and the add-on comparison retains the Professional, Business, and Circle Plus conditions checked on 5 September 2026. Scale is not included in those numeric tables. Use Circle’s current plan comparison for its price, allowances, and add-on terms; do not apply another plan’s column to Scale. The October check establishes the plan lineup and feature positioning, not a re-verification of every amount below.

The September add-on review found separate billing axes: rows under Add ons, an Email Hub contacts selector, and additional Circle AI credit pricing outside that heading. Keep these separate when comparing your requirements with the current plan terms.

Start with the base plan and billing period

Circle’s public page displays its community-plan figures on an annual-billing basis. The recorded plan context is:

Community plan Displayed monthly equivalent Platform fee
Professional $89.00 2.0%
Business $199.00 1.0%

These are community-plan figures. The cost comparison estimates monthly cost from revenue and the number of member transactions. An Email Hub charge does not belong in that calculation because its billing axis is contacts.

The Add ons section: plan-specific conditions

The 5 September review recorded 7 items under the exact heading Add ons. The table below preserves the reviewed columns for Professional, Business, and Circle Plus; it does not include the current Scale column. “Included,” “Unlimited,” and “Talk to sales” are conditions, not invented numeric prices.

Separate addon charge. Billing axis: contacts, not members or revenue. Email Hub cadence was not established by the reviewed screenshot. Each amount is added to the community plan. Prices last verified 2026-09-05.

The addon is charged separately from the community plan. The billing axis shown here is contacts; it is not the member count used by the site's core cost model and it is not revenue. The recorded Email Hub amounts are shown without assigning them to annual or monthly billing because that cadence was not established by the reviewed screenshot. The selector contained additional unrecorded positions.

Circle comparison-table Add ons

Additional Circle AI credit pricing

Circle AI credit rows are recorded separately because they sit outside the Add ons heading.

Sources checked through 2026-09-05; individual source dates and verification status: Circle pricing — Circle comparison-table Add ons section (seven plan-specific items), additional Circle AI credit pricing, and Professional / Business / Circle Plus conditions; Email Hub price cadence was not established by the reviewed screenshot (checked 2026-09-05) (directly verified)

The clearest plan-level split is Professional versus Business: Brand email notifications and Customizable profile fields are paid on Professional but included on Business. Extra admins and Extra moderators are numeric add-on charges on both plans, while Circle Plus shows Unlimited for those rows. Extra spaces, Live attendees, and Hours show Talk to sales for Circle Plus.

The same source also shows Circle AI credits outside the Add ons section. Extra Circle AI credits are priced per 1,000 for Professional and Business, while Circle Plus is Negotiable. The included allowance is shown separately from that extra-credit price.

Which payment fees are added?

Circle’s platform fee is separate from the community-plan subscription. For the model used elsewhere on this site, the payment line is:

Community plan Platform fee Modelled processing cost Modelled combined transaction cost
Professional 2.0% 2.9% + $0.30 5.6% + $0.30
Business 1.0% 2.9% + $0.30 4.6% + $0.30

The combined figures are scenario values for payments processed through the documented flow. They are not added to the Email Hub contact tier, and they do not determine which contact tier you need. Payment processing can also depend on payment method, location, currency, and account terms; verify those conditions before treating the model as your invoice.

Keep the inputs separate when you build a budget:

The model can be written as: community-plan cost + modelled payment fees + selected Email Hub tier + quoted items. A quoted item is not a confirmed zero-cost line; it is an amount you still need to obtain from Circle.

Email Hub: a separate contacts axis

Circle labels Email Hub as optional and says it is charged on top of the community plan. Its selector is based on how many contacts you have. The recorded representative points are shown above in a separate table; the selector contains additional unrecorded positions, and its endpoint at 200,000 contacts is Talk to sales rather than a numeric price.

The Email Hub billing axis is contacts, not community members and not revenue. A revenue scenario cannot tell you which Email Hub tier applies; you need the relevant contact count.

The reviewed screenshot did not establish whether the displayed Email Hub amounts use annual billing or monthly billing. The data retains the existing four observed amount values, but this article does not label those amounts as annual-billing or monthly-billing prices. That cadence remains unconfirmed.

Circle also says the first 30 days are free. That introductory period does not change the recurring tier prices, and it should not be treated as a permanent discount.

What is not a priceable add-on

Branded Apps: request a quote

Circle presents Branded Apps with a custom-demo path. Its public pricing page does not publish a monthly price for the option, so this article does not attach a numeric premium to it. If your decision depends on a branded app, ask Circle for a quote and the exact scope of the offer.

Circle Plus: the plan price is not public

Circle Plus appears as a public plan tab, but the page presents it with “Talk to sales” rather than a plan price. The plan therefore stays out of the numeric plan model.

Circle’s help page separately lists a Circle Plus transaction fee of 0.5%. That is a transaction-fee figure, not the monthly price of the Circle Plus plan. Do not use it as a substitute for a plan quote.

Headless, Workflows, and Analytics: Business features

The Business feature list reviewed in September included Headless Member API, Admin API, Workflows, and Analytics. That presentation did not support treating access to these features as separately priced add-ons. It also does not establish that API usage or workflow capacity is unlimited; check the current allowances and overage terms for your chosen plan.

The practical question is therefore which plan includes the access and capacity you need? If one of these capabilities is the reason you are considering an upgrade, compare Business and the higher plans before adding optional extras. The reviewed Add ons table is not a complete list of all possible usage charges.

Build your Circle budget

Use the Email Hub table when the requirement is email contacts. Use the plan-specific Add ons table when the requirement is an extra admin, moderator, space, branded email notification, customizable profile field, live attendee capacity, or hours. Use the core cost tables when the question is community-plan cost from member revenue. Keep the quantities separate:

Your requirement Correct pricing question
Community hosting and payments Which community plan and transaction-fee structure applies?
Email Hub Which contacts tier contains your list, and is a quote needed at the endpoint?
Plan-specific Add ons Which Professional, Business, or Circle Plus condition applies to the row?
Branded Apps What quote and scope does Circle provide?
Circle Plus What plan price does Circle provide, separately from its published transaction fee?
Headless, Workflows, or Analytics Are the Business-plan features sufficient?

The cleanest budgeting sequence is to choose the community plan, then add the applicable plan-specific option or Email Hub tier. Keep a quote placeholder for Branded Apps, Circle Plus, and any Add ons marked Talk to sales rather than inserting an invented number.

Before you compare your total with another service, write down the four values separately. Do not use monthly revenue as a proxy for contacts, and do not use the Email Hub tier to infer payment volume. If Circle has not supplied a quote, mark that line as quote required and leave the total open.
